so, i haven't been on in a while, but not much has happened... until now!

steven & i are getting married march 23, 2013! we have been looking for a "starter home" everywhere! yesterday we finally found one!! it's perfect for us!! see!!!

 

i have already started looking at ways to decorate too!! all of these are just ideas i've seen on pinterest & in the fingerhut magazine!!

God's Not Good Just Once In A While, He's Good All The Time!

First of all, if you read, please subscribe. I feel like a weirdo writing all these blogs with no one that reads them ): Please let me know that you're here (:

So, I'm in college at one of the best community colleges evahhh! I'm going for Nursing, which is super hard to get into at my school. I applied for the fall and didn't make it! I was heartbroken! I cried in the truck with my parents, brothers, and my brother's girlfriend; however, I didn't let it get me down!
The highlighted portions are the classes I've finished! The ones that aren't highlighted are the classes you have to be in the nursing program for!

I knew what I needed to improve on! There's an entrance exam for the nursing program called the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) aka the hardest test known to man, just kidding. It was hard though! I had taken it 2 times and still hadn't gotten the score I needed! I done what I knew I needed to do, I cried out to my Heavenly Father.

I took the test this morning and I got above the score I needed! My goodness I serve an amazing God!
I'm so ecstatic! I apply for the nursing program by September 20 & should know by the end of October! I know God is going to move in that situation too!

as we've been sitting out this storm to see where it was going to make landfall, i've thought about the blessings of God!

i'm so blessed in every part of my life! i'm going to take this time to give thanks to my Father in Heaven!

i'm thanful for my wonderful fiance!

i'm thankful that God blessed him & his brother's with their first CD! it's really been a tool for their ministry!

 

i'm so thanful for my wonderful family! my mom, dad, & brother's are definitely the best in the world!

 

i'm thankful for my awesome pastor who preaches the true undefiled word of God! (in the blue shirt below)

 

i'm so thankful for my beautiful 2011 Camaro my parents got me for graduation!

 

i'm thankful for our youth and the vow of purity they made at the silver ring thing sunday night!

 

and last, but certainly not least, i'm thankful for my best friends! phyllis & the super six( lindsay, taylor, logan, kayse, & kaitlin)!! i love them so much!

All We Do Is Win!

ahhh! so excited for my oldest, little brother! his senior football season started friday with their preseason jamboree!

in the first game, they tied 7 all! kind of a bummer, but in their defense their opponent was a 3A team, & our team is 2A! but in the 2nd game, in a team we'll play later in the season, they won 14-7(maybe it was 14-0??)! whoo hoo! go dawgs!

I Love You!

This weekend was definitely not the greatest weekend! ): We layed my grandpa "Pop" to rest on Saturday 10.25.12! BUT God promised he'd never gives us more than we can bare!

This weekend may have been a not so good week but it was also good! On the 23, our countdown went down some! Just 7 more months until I say "I Do" and become Mrs. Steven Davis! ahhhh so exciting! Then the 24th was our 15 monthaversary and the 25th made 3 months that I have been engaged to that wonderful man that I love so much!

Steven always finds a way to make me smile! My family went to eat at the Golden Corral after the graveside service! Steven & I got stuck in a booth with my little cousins. Madison started telling Steven some kind of joke! As she was telling the joke, she asked him who his favorite person was! Without any hesitation he simply nodded his head toward me! (: That made my day! (:

Friday Night Football Games! & Future Nieces!

Yes, I'm a girly girl, but I am a girly girl who LOVES her some football!

At first, I was clueless to anything about football, but that changed when I joined color guard my sophomore year of high school! I got super excited about football season every year and after most games, I would come home hoarse!

I graduated in 2011 BUT my love for the WCHS Bulldogs still runs deep!
Tonight is my brothers LAST FIRST high school football game! Yes, my little brother is a senior!! ahhhh! This seems unread! He bought me a shirt that I will proudly wear tonight!!

This is one of the little things that makes me smile! Football & my brother being so sweet!

Another thing, eh person, that's made me smile this week is my fiance's nieces!! In just 7 months they'll be my neices too! I love them so dearly and they always make me smile!

Heartaches & Heart Breaks! Stories To Tell!

I don't blog much at all, but I'm trying to get back into it.

Thursday, my grandfather(Pop) was put in the hospital. I had no clue. Saturday, my dad told us his heart had stopped beating so he was put on life support. I went down to see him and he could hear us and would respond a little. We stayed pretty much all day. Sunday, I had enough time to go to church for 5 minutes. I checked my phone and had a text from my mom. I walked outside and she told us the news. Pop's cancer had spread and he was brain dead. They called the family in to make the decision about life support. We took the machines off around 4. My dad stayed with him all night and came home. At 8:30, we received the call that we didn't want to get. Pop had passed away!

I'm getting married in March. I have no grandfathers left and only 1 grandmother. My fiance's grandfather has nothing to do with him. He has a choice to come to the wedding. Mine don't. Life isn't fair. I'm so heartbroken over this. I know God can do all things so I need him for sure during this awful time! RIP Pop!

It's The Little Things!

So, I follow Hello Hue on here, and she inspired me to do a "It's The Little Things" blog!

This week I'm happy for my amazing friends! In high school we called ourselves the "Super Six". I don't talk to them all everyday, but today I got to talk to every one of them! I'm thankful for true friends! Just remembering all the funny/crazy things we done in high school made me smile.

The next thing I'm that just made me have a smile all day is the GIRLS DAY! Saturday, my bestie, Phyllis and I went shopping, watched a movie, ate some delicious food, got manicure, and talked and laughed all day!

The 3rd thing that just makes me ohhhh so happy is that my boyfriend, his older brothers, and cousin came out with their first CD, and it's AMAZING!!! Check it out on iTunes. There Is A God - KBS!

The next little thing is my boyfriend. He's 1800 miles away from me working and still makes me smile each day! I love him!

I guess these are all the little things that just made me smile!

It's The Little Things(:

SO, God is absolutely wonderful! I decided to tell about a few of the LITTLE things he's been doing here lately!
1. Revivals are EVERYWHERE! One has been going for nearly 2 weeks!!!
2. I am so stirred! And my friends are too! God is opening sooo many doors for me!
3. My best friend is getting married June 30!!! ((:
4. A secular radio station got changed to KLOVE today! A Christian station!
5. I made it to and from school safely!

God is so GOOD! It's the little things that make living this life worth while!!!

History Repeats Itself... True Statement!

Boy, it sure has been a while since I've blogged! 

As I mentioned in my last post, both my poppa and granny have passed away. I have 1 grandmother & 1 grandfather left. 

My Granny Alice died of lung cancer. The reason this is titled "History Repeats Itself" is because my granny's husband, Pop(Ronnie), was told that he is in stage 4 of cancer and has 6 months to live. Now, I feel like history is definitely repeating itself. They also gave my grandmother around 6 months to live. I was sitting in my dorm doing homework when my dad gave me the news of pop. All I could do was cry. I know God has a reason. I just have to spend as much time with pop as I possibly can!! I may not be able to change the cancer but I can change how much I see him!
